Automotive Technician Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain automobiles and light trucks in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks
  • Inspect and test vehicles for mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly to service advisors and customers
  • Complete repairs including, but not limited to, engine, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, heating, cooling, and electrical systems
  • Document all services and repairs performed, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulations
  • Stay current with manufacturer technical updates, recalls, and service bulletins
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality customer service
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of automotive technical training preferred
  • Relevant certifications (ASE, manufacturer-specific, etc.) highly desirable
  • Proven experience diagnosing, repairing, and servicing automobiles and light trucks
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, mechanical and electrical components
  • Proficiency with diagnostic and repair tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Physical ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods
