In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of trailers and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on trailers, including air brake systems, suspensions, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Fabricate and modify trailer components or parts as needed using hand tools, welding equipment, and power tools. Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to diesel engines, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and wheel alignments with precision. Replace or repair tires, brakes, shocks & struts, axles, and suspension systems to maintain vehicle safety and performance. Utilize automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately and efficiently restore vehicles to optimal working condition. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for compliance and quality assurance. Qualifications Proven dealership or heavy-duty truck repair experience with a strong mechanical background. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment repair. Familiarity with schematics for hydraulics, air brake systems, transmissions, HVAC systems, and electrical wiring. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and effectively. Knowledge of automotive repair techniques including tire service, alignment procedures, suspension work, and diesel engine repairs. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic software. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Physical ability for heavy lifting and performing maintenance tasks in various environments.
