Job Description

Summary:
Responsible for providing general maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs and restorations to classic British vehicles.
Essential Functions:
Provides maintenance and repair to 1970's - 1995 Land Rovers and other classic vehicles. Maintains company facilities. Maintains safety of employees while performing duties. Performs general support tasks related to one or multiple functions, such as shop equipment maintenance. Interacts frequently with staff and management to provide information or reports or to receive directive or clarification on assigned duties. Performs building or equipment maintenance tasks including the completion of work orders, scheduling routine maintenance, preventative maintenance and repairs. Builds special equipment as required. Ensures all assigned duties are carried out within the appropriate amount of time. Performs electrical, drive-train, fuel system and A/C repairs. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Two years of maintenance experience, preferably in a restoration setting.
Skills/Knowledge:
Must have a general knowledge of auto mechanics and restoration (drive-trains, brakes, hydraulics, electronics, fuel and brake plumbing, A/C, etc.), along with "Mechanic" skills and knowledge of hand and power tools. Skill in exercising independent judgement. Able to work in a fast paced environment with attention to detail. Demonstrates ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results. Demonstrates the ability to assess and identify needs and develop creative solutions. Highly motivated with great organizational skills. Demonstrates appropriate customer service attitudes and services in a variety of work settings. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, Internet. Demonstrates a results orientation for delivering appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete and timely fashion. Must be skilled in written and verbal communications, requiring the ability to read and write effectively and efficiently. Must have basic supply of professional hand tools for Auto mechanics. Auto body experience preferred but not necessary.
Working conditions:
General work is in air conditioned warehouse, but may be required to work outside or off site if needed. May be exposed to auto mechanic related risks. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
