Job Description

Position Summary:
The Fleet Technician Assistant is an entry level position that will consist of providing technology support to the Fleet Department. Travel to various field work locations throughout our company will be required.
Essential Functions:
Capable of learning Pike's various electronic operating GPS devices. Able to troubleshoot various GPS devices on company equipment. Able to maintain an organized list of daily repairs and equipment checks. Capable of coordinating with Pike crews the locations and dates necessary to perform repairs. Must possess a valid driver's license with ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License. Drive to and from many Pike field locations safely with company issued vehicle.
Other Requirements:
Ability to learn, understand, and troubleshoot vehicle wiring. Must be able to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Computer knowledge especially in Microsoft Excel High School Diploma Able to work in an outside environment Able to work overtime when required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; operate objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
