Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems. Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications. Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and wheel alignments to optimize handling and safety. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues within automotive electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, or replace vehicle parts with precision. Service vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to uphold safety standards. Stay current with advances in automotive technology like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs on modern vehicles. Experience Proven dealership experience or service technician experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair including diesel engine repair, vehicle transmission system repair, and vehicle systems troubleshooting. Familiarity with automotive wiring diagram interpretation and the use of automotive diagnostic tools for complex diagnostics. Experience working on GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to read schematics accurately and apply technical proficiency in vehicle repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and maintenance procedures.
