Job Description

J.B. Hunt is hiring experienced tractor trailer mechanics for our team at our Haslet shop! These roles are vital to our everyday operations by keeping our equipment operating efficiently and safely. We have openings for mechanics servicing our tractors, as well as positions supporting our trailer maintenance team. You'll responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance, service and repair of J.B. Hunt semi-tractors and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on J.B. Hunt equipment including diesel engines, transmission, fuel systems, electrical systems and air brakes (FHWA inspections) Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy-duty truck and tractor issues to OEM and company standards Complete work orders within SRT and warranty guidelines Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication Participate in OEM training and assist with technician onboarding

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must be at least 18 years old At least 1-2 years of hands-on mechanic experience servicing semi-trucks or trailers or military equivalent AC Certification At least 1 year in DOT and FHWA inspections and air brake systems Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through J.B.
