This position plays an important role in our Rack Attack inspection process , helping ensure every vehicle is thoroughly inspected and every customer receives accurate information about the condition of their vehicle. What You'll Do Perform oil changes and scheduled maintenance Complete tire repairs, rotations, balancing, and replacements Perform brake inspections and light brake service Replace basic suspension and steering components Complete fluid services and preventative maintenance Perform Texas State Vehicle Inspections in accordance with all state requirements Conduct thorough digital vehicle inspections Participate in the Adams Automotive Rack Attack process Clearly document inspection results, including photographs and notes when required Identify visible safety concerns, needed repairs, maintenance items, leaks, tire wear, and other vehicle needs Promptly communicate inspection findings to the service advisor Complete assigned work accurately and within expected timeframes Protect customers' vehicles and maintain a clean, organized work area Communicate professionally with advisors, technicians, and other team members Rack Attack Responsibilities The Adams Automotive Rack Attack is our structured vehicle-inspection process designed to provide customers with a complete and accurate understanding of their vehicle's condition. As the General Service Technician, you will be responsible for: Performing the Rack Attack inspection consistently and thoroughly on assigned vehicles Following the established inspection checklist without skipping steps Inspecting tires, brakes, steering, suspension, fluids, belts, hoses, filters, lights, wipers, visible leaks, and other accessible components Separating immediate safety concerns from recommended maintenance and future repair needs Taking clear photographs and entering accurate notes into the digital inspection system Reporting findings to the service advisor before completing or releasing the vehicle Asking for assistance from a senior technician when an issue requires additional diagnosis Helping ensure no obvious safety concern or needed maintenance item is overlooked Maintaining honesty and accuracy by reporting the vehicle's actual condition without exaggerating or minimizing findings The technician is responsible for completing each inspection accurately, documenting the results clearly, and delivering the information to the service advisor in a timely manner. The service advisor is responsible for reviewing the findings with the customer and obtaining authorization for additional work.
