Our client is a trusted distributor and solutions provider in the piping and industrial products industry. They're seeking a Mechanic to add their team in the Houston, TX area! candidates must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening as a requirement for these positions.

Pay:

$30 - $32/hr (depending on experience) Monday - Friday schedule, 40 hours per week Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) and

PTO Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, diagnose, repair, and overhaul fusion equipment, especially McElroy machines and other major fusion brands Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to restore full functionality Prepare and inspect rental equipment, ensuring safety, testing, and calibration before and after rentals Coordinate warranty repairs with manufacturers and vendors Manage parts inventory and maintain accurate service and repair documentation Maintain shop tools and test equipment, including calibration Assist with major shop overhauls and mobile/in-field service as needed Follow safety protocols and ensure equipment meets safety and quality standards

Requirements:

Several years of equipment repair/maintenance experience, preferably with fusion equipment (McElroy preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Familiarity with fusion welders, parts, and operation Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and parts diagrams Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to safely use hand and shop tools, including cutting and grinding equipment Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Strong commitment to safety

Preferred:

McElroy certification, equipment testing/calibration experience, and mobile/field service experience #INDOMNI
