Job Description

Summary/Objective:
The Fuel and Lube Truck Technician is responsible for fueling, lubricating, and performing basic preventative maintenance on company equipment in the field and at company facilities. This position helps keep equipment operating safely and efficiently by completing routine service, identifying maintenance concerns, and communicating repair needs.
Essential Functions:

  • Operate a fuel and lube truck safely between jobsites, yards, and company facilities.
  • Fuel, lubricate, and perform routine fluid checks and preventative maintenance on company equipment.
  • Check and replenish oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, grease, DEF, and other required fluids.
  • Inspect equipment during service for leaks, damage, worn parts, or other maintenance concerns.
  • Communicate equipment issues, safety concerns, and repair needs.
  • Maintain accurate fuel, fluid, service, equipment hour, and inspection records.
  • Keep the fuel and lube truck stocked, organized, clean, and in safe operating condition.
  • Follow company safety policies, DOT requirements, environmental procedures, and proper handling procedures for fuel, oils, lubricants, DEF, and related materials.
  • Assist mechanics, field crews, and equipment personnel with basic service-related tasks as needed. Qualifications
  • Previous experience fueling, servicing, or maintaining heavy equipment or construction equipment. (Preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of diesel equipment, fluids, lubrication points, filters, and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to safely operate a fuel and lube truck and work around active construction sites.
  • Ability to identify basic equipment issues, leaks, worn components, and unsafe conditions.
  • Ability to complete service logs, fuel records, inspection forms, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Must be dependable, organized, and able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull hoses, tools, filters, materials, and supplies as required.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active jobsites.

Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have previous experience fueling, servicing, or maintaining heavy equipment or construction equipment?
