Job Description

Fleet Service Administrator Position Summary The Fleet Service Administrator is responsible for supporting daily service operations through effective use of computer systems, service management software, driver coordination, loss prevention, and cargo equipment control. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate operational records while ensuring drivers and equipment are properly supported.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repair Tracking:
Coordinate routine service, repairs, and inspections with vendors to reduce vehicle downtime.
Record-Keeping & Compliance:
Maintain accurate databases for vehicle registrations, titles, permits, fuel cards, and safety rules.
Cost & Fuel Management:
Monitor fuel consumption, track expenses, and analyze metrics to find cost-saving measures.
Parts & Inventory Support:
Assist with purchasing parts, managing warranties, and negotiating with outside service providers.
Reporting:
Prepare operational and financial reports for management regarding fleet performance. Communicate effectively with drivers, management, and other departments to resolve operational issues. Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, security, equipment control, and loss prevention. Perform other service and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications Education:
High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field is often preferred for advanced roles.
Experience:
2 to 5 years of administrative or fleet operations experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized fleet management software.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Success in this position requires dependability, accountability, strong computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
