Pharr, TX- SERVICE Apply Job Type Full-time Description The car detailer is to clean and detail vehicles for customers, which includes tasks like washing, waxing, vacuuming, and drying the interior and exterior of the customer vehicles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Car detailers provide automotive interior and exterior cleaning services that meet company or client specifications
- A car detailer will oversee everything from a simple wash and vacuum to more intensive cleaning jobs, including hand washing vehicles, steaming and deodorizing interiors, and applying waxes, polishes, or protective agents to cars.
- Assist with service write-up and tagging customer cars and trucks.
- Give customers rides to their home and employer.
- Clean area around service dept. & Showroom.
- Pick up mail and do other pick-ups & deliveries.
- Go on dealer trades. Must be able to do all paperwork involved. Responsible for inspecting both our vehicle and the unit we are receiving for perfect condition and missing equipment.
- Keeps demos prepared to show
- Pulls cars from inventory
- Fills Deliveries or Demos with gas
- Keep all cars showroom ready
- Transport cars to clients or offsite locations
- Helps perform physical inventory monthly
- Building and grounds maintenance as needed
- Attend weekly department meetings
- All other duties as assigned
- Requirements EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Prolonged periods of working outside with the vehicles.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to work independently or in a team environment
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Pass Background Check
- Pass Drug Test
- 21 Years-Old or Older
- Valid Texas Driver's License
