Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately. Repair and overhaul various vehicle systems including engines, powertrains, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Conduct engine repairs, including diesel engine maintenance and automotive engine system troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mechanical repair techniques to perform maintenance tasks such as alignments, wheel balancing, and heavy lifting. Interpret schematics and vehicle wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently across diverse vehicle makes and models. Lead complex repairs on GM vehicles or similar brands, demonstrating advanced knowledge of automotive engine technology and vehicle systems. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring a positive experience for every customer. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent shop backgrounds; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive engine technology, powertrain components, and vehicle electrical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and interpreting schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Expertise in ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, diesel engine repair, and general vehicle maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
