We are seeking a dynamic Automotive Service Advisor to join our energetic team! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and sales skills will drive customer satisfaction and ensure efficient shop operations. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and provide expert guidance on recommended services. Clearly explain repair and maintenance procedures, estimates, and costs to customers, ensuring transparency and trust. Write detailed service orders and estimates using automotive service management software. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates to customers. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, transmissions, and other automotive diagnostics. Manage cash handling accurately during payment transactions while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Promote automotive repair services by educating customers on vehicle maintenance best practices to extend vehicle lifespan. Assist in vehicle drop-off and pick-up processes efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed records of all service activities, warranties, and customer interactions for future reference. Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of parts needed for repairs. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques to better serve customers. Requirements Proven dealership or auto service management experience with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems including transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, alignment, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, diesel engines, air brake systems, and more. Experience in auto estimating software and service writing is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally. Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Previous mechanic or service technician experience is a plus—familiarity with automotive repair processes enhances your ability to advise customers accurately. Strong sales aptitude with a proactive approach to identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while providing friendly assistance at all times. Knowledge of automobile sales processes is advantageous but not mandatory. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; relevant certifications or training in automotive repair or diagnostics are preferred.
