The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and vehicle maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues, particularly with GM vehicles. This role requires expertise in automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Automotive Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, focusing on GM models. Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify mechanical issues using advanced automotive diagnostic tools. Align wheels and perform suspension work as needed. Repair or replace automotive electrical systems and components. Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles. Execute auto body repairs as required, ensuring high-quality workmanship. Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. Experience Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive service techniques, vehicle maintenance procedures, and diagnostics. Familiarity with schematics related to automotive systems. Experience working with powertrain components is advantageous. Ability to weld is a plus for certain repair tasks. Proficiency in diagnosing issues with automotive electrical systems.
