Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical systems to restore optimal vehicle function. Service and maintain vehicles through oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and brake repairs to ensure safety and reliability. Repair and replace components related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, auto body elements, and auto electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Read technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems on various vehicle makes including GM vehicles when applicable. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, and electrical components. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment mechanics or diesel mechanics is a plus. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of automotive safety standards such as air brake systems and ADAS technology is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail; ability to work efficiently under pressure. Valid technical certifications or ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
