- 26 per hour | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | No Weekends About Vencam Auto Repair Vencam Auto Repair is a locally owned independent repair shop in Virginia Beach.
We've built our reputation on quality repairs, honest recommendations, and treating our customers and our team according to the Golden Rule. We're looking for a C-Level Automotive Technician with a couple years of professional shop experience who has the fundamentals down and wants to become a great technician. This is not an entry-level or general service position. You should already be comfortable performing routine automotive repairs and maintenance without someone standing over you. You don't need to know everything. That's not what we're looking for. We're looking for someone who wants to keep learning. We can teach you better processes and efficiency, help expand your diagnostic and repair skills, and challenge you with more difficult work as you're ready for it. What we can't teach is the desire to get better. What You'll Do Brakes Passenger and light-truck tires Routine maintenance Fluid services and flushes Basic steering and suspension repairs Alignments Digital multi-point inspections Identify and document legitimate maintenance and repair needs Complete straightforward mechanical repairs within your skill level Use service information and proper repair procedures Keep your bay and shared shop areas clean, safe, and organized A Virginia State Safety Inspector license is a major plus , but it is not required. If you don't have one, we encourage and support obtaining it. You should have your own foundational set of automotive tools. We provide specialty tools and shop equipment. We want thorough inspections and efficient work, but we don't believe in recommending things a customer doesn't need or cutting corners to turn more hours. We want someone who is dependable, communicates well, takes accountability for their work, treats customers and coworkers with respect, and takes pride in fixing vehicles correctly. - 26/hour , based on experience and demonstrated skill Hourly pay — not flat rate Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM No weekends Shop closed from 12:00-1:00 PM every day for lunch Heated and air-conditioned bays Quiet rotary-screw air compressor Specialty tools and shop equipment Health insurance assistance Dental and vision insurance Paid Time Off Paid holidays Paid birthday off Company uniform shirts Reimbursement toward approved work pants and work shoes/boots Professional development and training Opportunities for increased compensation as your abilities grow Approximately two-week shop closure around Christmas and New Year's We work hard while we're here, but we also believe you should have a life outside the shop.
