at State of Vermont in Colchester, Vermont, United States Job Description Overview The AOT Fleet Service Technician is responsible for mechanical and electronic service work on automobiles, heavy trucks, construction equipment, snowplow and spreader systems utilized by the Agency of Transportation (VTrans). Candidates should have diagnostic and research skills, in addition to the ability to plan and schedule work while setting priorities and responding to unanticipated service needs. The ability to remain self-motivated and work independently is required to be successful in this position. This position is eligible for a sign-on and retention bonus of up to $2000! Environmental Factors Duties are typically performed in a district garage or motor shop, where normal motor shop hazards exist.
