Congleton Service is growing, and our team is looking to add another Automotive Technician that takes pride in repairing and restoring vehicles. Thanks to an enthusiastic community we are consistently busy all year, with a queue of future service work. Our team of talented technicians are in the shop Monday to Friday (no weekends), guaranteed 40 hours a week, with overtime available. What you Need to Succeed 2+ years of automotive repair experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and good driving record for conducting test drives. Strong work ethic, self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Trained eye for detail work. Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. Physical stamina to kneel, bend, squat and climb, maneuver tight spaces of vehicle interiors, as well as lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable with verbal and written direction and switching tasks as needed to meet deadlines. We love our rescue dogs and there are always at least a few of them here, so a comfort level around dogs is essential. What to Expect Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including steering, suspension, drivetrain, brakes, etc. Perform state-regulated inspections. Change oil, fluids and filters. Tire mount and balance. Tear down and reassembly of vehicle interior trim work and components such as headliners, center consoles, doors, seats, etc. Disassemble and reassemble vehicle body panels before and after repairs/paint. Diagnose and repair components such as lights, electronic seats, audio, etc. for proper operation. Welding experience is a plus. Benefits Include Weekly pay is commensurate with experience.
