Job Description

St Johnsbury Subaru is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team! A service advisor acts as the liaison between the Service Technicians and customers. You will explain the Service Technician's recommendations to the customer in an easy-to-understand language, as well as suggest products and services for up-sell opportunities to keep the customer's vehicle safe. Responsibilities Greet customers in a pleasant and timely manner and obtain vehicle information. Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers so they can have a great service experience. Conduct automobile inspections, check vehicle maintenance records, and examine service schedules. Advise customers on the care of their vehicles and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications. Confer with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures; prepare work order for needed repairs showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service. Provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts. Check on the progress of repairs throughout the day. Contact customers regarding any changes in the estimated or promised time, explain cost and time requirements in detail, and get proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed. Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Explain completed work and all charges to customer. Handle customer complaints. Requirements Knowledgeable, experienced, or trainable on Subaru servicing and parts. Valid and (mostly) clean drivers license Excellent communication and active listening skills Computer Literate Outgoing and patient personality with good customer relations skills Professional appearance. Minimum 1 year's experience in the automotive industry, or similar.
Pay:
$83,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
