Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Bodywork Technician and Automotive Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert body repairs and high-quality painting techniques. Your expertise will help ensure customer satisfaction by delivering flawless results, utilizing your mechanical knowledge, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Duties Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, sheet metal work, and structural alignment using hand tools and power tools. Conduct welding, soldering, and fabrication to restore vehicle frames and body panels accurately. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, and applying primer; then execute auto painting using airless paint spraying techniques for smooth, professional finishes. Repair or replace auto glass components and ensure proper sealing and fitment. Complete auto estimating assessments to determine repair costs and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each vehicle. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical inspections, auto restoration projects, and assembly of repaired components. Requirements Proven dealership experience or background in auto body repair and auto painting preferred. Proficiency in welding, fabrication, sheet metal work, soldering, and the use of various hand tools and power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, and auto restoration processes. Experience with auto estimating software and customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks associated with auto body work. Knowledge of auto glass installation, auto painting techniques including airless spray systems, and general automotive repair standards. Familiarity with dealership or collision center procedures is a plus; certification in welding or auto body repair is advantageous. Pay:
$25.70 - $30.96 per hour
