Service Advisor / Shop Coordinator — A1 Auto Detailing (Lynnwood, WA) Full-time • Tuesday-Saturday • $20-$25/hr depending on experience Our bays are booked. We need the person who runs the front. A1 Auto Detailing is a growing shop in Lynnwood. Cars come in dirty and leave looking brand new, and we want the customer's experience to feel as polished as the car. Our detailer and our installer are busy every day. What we're missing is the person who owns the phone, the schedule, the lot, and the customer, so the people in the bays can stay in the bays. This is not a receptionist job. If you've run a dealership service desk, an independent shop counter, or an appointment-heavy front desk (vet, dental, salon, spa) and you're at your best when three things are happening at once, this is a role where you actually run the day. What the day looks like 30+ calls, texts, and emails a day: "How much for a full interior?" "Can you fit me in Saturday?" "Is my car ready?" You're the answer, and you're quick and accurate with it.
Own the schedule:
the right service in the right slot, quoted correctly, confirmed the day before, and rebuilt on the fly when a job runs long or a customer no-shows. Saturday is our biggest day.
Run the lot:
know what's arriving, what's in progress, and what's ready; keep vehicles staged and moving so the shop never jams up. You'll be in and out of the lot in all weather. Be the bridge between the customer and the bays: check vehicles in and out, walk customers through the work, set honest timelines, and handle an upset customer yourself before it ever reaches the manager. Keep the day smooth for the detailer and installer: they always know what's next, supplies are on hand, nothing is double-booked.
Close out cleanly:
payments, invoices, records, and before-and-after photos and video of our work for social media. What we're looking for 2+ years in a customer-facing, appointment-driven role (auto shop or dealership service preferred; other high-volume scheduling roles welcome) You've owned a schedule for a team, not just answered phones for one Calm under pressure: you can juggle a full lot and a ringing phone at the same time 21 or older with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record; you'll be moving customer vehicles around our lot Tuesday-Saturday availability (Saturday is a must) Comfortable with scheduling or booking software and basic computer tasks Nice to have Automotive service advisor, service writer, or BDC experience Knowledge of detailing, ceramic coatings, or paint protection (we can teach the products; we can't teach calm under pressure) An eye for photo/video or social media content Where this job can go We promote from the inside. Do this job well and, if it's something you want, you'll get the chance to take on sales, with a path to a sales rep position as the company grows. Pay & schedule $20-$25 per hour depending on experience. Full-time, 40 hours, Tuesday-Saturday. No Sundays, small team, owner on site. How to apply Apply with your resume and answer the two short questions; we read every one that does. If you're a fit, you'll hear from us quickly.
