Service Technician - RV /Vanlife/ 12V Electrical / Customer Support VELIT Cooling & Heating Renton, WA Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $25 - $30 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits 401(k) Qualifications Technical support via phone Customer returns handling Minor mechanical vehicle repair Managing clients in a customer support role Mechanical knowledge Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description About the Role Velit Cooling & Heating is looking for a hands-on Service & Support Technician to join our Renton service center. This is a hybrid customer support and technical role. You will help customers over the phone, troubleshoot common product and installation issues, perform basic service and repair work, assist with product testing, and support day-to-day service center operations. You do not need to be an expert on our products when you start. We will provide product-specific training. We are primarily looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable talking with customers, dependable, and willing to learn. Responsibilities Answer customer support phone calls and handle Tier 1 technical questions Help customers troubleshoot common installation and product issues Escalate more complex technical cases when needed Perform basic inspection, diagnosis, repair, and replacement of products and components Assist with product testing and validation of new or updated products Process service, warranty, and return-related work at the Renton service center Help customers who visit the service center for pickup, service, or troubleshooting Document recurring customer issues and solutions Work with the remote support/operations team to resolve customer cases Assist with general service center tasks as needed What We're Looking For Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools Basic understanding of 12V electrical systems is strongly preferred Comfortable speaking with customers over the phone Able to explain technical problems in a simple and friendly way Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn Reliable and able to work independently Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving company where responsibilities may change from day to day Experience with RVs, camper vans, automotive electrical systems, HVAC, diesel heaters, off-grid electrical systems, or similar products is a strong plus. Vanlife/RV experience is especially valuable , because understanding how these products are actually installed and used in the field is an important part of helping our customers. What Success Looks Like After training, you should be able to independently handle most incoming Tier 1 support calls, diagnose common customer and installation issues, perform routine service work, and know when a problem needs to be escalated to someone with deeper technical expertise.
