Automotive Service Technician Job Summary:

We are looking for an Automotive Service Technician to join our shop. You will run diagnostic tests and perform basic repairs and routine maintenance on cars and small trucks. Typical job duties include Checking fluid levels, rotating tires, changing oil and other fluids, and replacing batteries and belts. You must also be familiar with steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning systems. We prefer Candidates who have extensive automotive repair experience, mechanical skills and are ASE certified. This role involves providing clear communication skills to service writers and other techs. Automotive Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities Run diagnostic tests Test functionality of parts Perform basic repairs Complete routine maintenance, including oil changes and automatic transmission fluid exchanges Replace or charge car batteries Mount and Rotate tires Document service repairs Maintain a clean and safe work area Automotive Service Technician Requirements and Qualifications High School diploma or GED certificate 1 + years of automotive repair experience ASE certification preferred Valid driver's license Mechanical skills Communication skills Must have own tools 5 days week and overtime available Benefits Paid Uniforms Paid weekly Employee Discount Paid training Paid Holidays after 90 days After 1 year, 1 week paid vacation 1 hour lunch, lunch provided on Fridays Other benefits provided at interview
