Overview MCDdelivery Inc. is a FedEx Ground Independent Service Provider (ISP 547) based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. We operate a growing fleet of commercial step vans and cutaway vehicles delivering packages across the Chippewa Valley and surrounding areas. We're a tight-knit operation that takes pride in keeping our drivers safe, our fleet road-ready, and our customers served. We're looking for a skilled, dependable mechanic to join our team and keep our vehicles DOT-compliant, safe, and on the road. We have a dedicated shop on-site and need someone who can also report directly to our terminal to conduct vehicle inspections and address issues before drivers hit the road each day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Report to the terminal each day to conduct pre-trip DOT vehicle inspections and clear vehicles for dispatch Perform routine and preventive maintenance on FedEx Ground step vans, cutaway vans, and light support vehicles in our on-site shop Conduct post-trip inspections and document all findings per DOT requirements Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, and drivetrain issues Perform oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, belt and fluid replacements Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance logs and repair records in compliance with DOT regulations Coordinate with dispatch and operations to prioritize vehicle downtime and minimize service disruption Identify safety concerns and escalate critical repairs immediately Keep the shop organized, clean, and stocked

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

2+ years of experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic (commercial vehicle experience preferred) Familiarity with DOT inspection requirements and FMCSA vehicle standards Hands-on experience with step vans, cutaways, or similar commercial delivery vehicles a strong plus Ability to diagnose issues using OBD/diagnostic tools Strong mechanical aptitude — brakes, suspension, electrical, engine, and drivetrain Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus but not required Must pass a background check
