Job Summary Join our dynamic automotive team as an Auto Service Writer/Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm for cars and exceptional customer service skills will drive success! In this energetic role, you will serve as the vital link between our customers and the service technicians, accurately documenting vehicle issues, estimating repairs, and promoting additional services through effective upselling. Your mechanical knowledge and dealership experience will empower you to communicate confidently with clients, recommend appropriate solutions, and contribute to a seamless service experience. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the automotive industry while helping customers keep their vehicles in top condition. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and gather detailed information about service needs Write clear, comprehensive repair orders and estimates using automotive estimating software Communicate effectively with technicians regarding diagnostics, repairs, and parts requirements Promote additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission services through upselling techniques Manage customer inquiries professionally via phone or in person, ensuring a positive experience throughout the service process Assist in vehicle inspections and diagnostics by leveraging automotive repair knowledge and experience with collision repair or diesel engine repair when needed Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all sales and service activities Requirements Proven dealership or auto service experience with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repairs Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, tire services, oil changes, and diesel engine repairs Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly Ability to upsell additional services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed Experience in auto service management or service writing is highly preferred Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding automotive care!
