START YOUR APPLICATION PURPOSE

To perform quality, medium-level in-house repairs to the fleet in a timely and efficient manner while complying with Marten Transport, Ltd. policy and procedure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Must have antiquate tools and toolbox. 2. Maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all equipment. 3. Maintain proficiency in rebuilding components on equipment. 4. Effectively and efficiently perform preventive maintenance inspections. 5. Complete all Repair Orders in a timely manner ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit. 6. Return all unused parts to the parts room. 7. Attend all company training classes, retain and demonstrate as instructed. 8. Responsible for the cleanliness of the work area. 9. Performs additional duties and special projects as needed. 10. Other duties as assigned.

ABILITIES/SKILLS REQUIRED

Must possess mechanical skills and aptitude for the position. Must be able to exhibit skills and knowledge.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and be able to stand for long hours. Must be able to work various shifts and days. Must be able to work in all types of climates including extreme hot and cold.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED

High School Education with one year post high school training preferred or two plus years' experience in trailer maintenance. . Marten Transport offers a full benefits package to full-time employees that includes health, dental, vision, 401K (starting at 90 days!) Annual Tool and Boot allowance
