Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will help keep our customers' vehicles running smoothly and efficiently. A strong mechanical knowledge base, hands-on experience, and a passion for automotive repair are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Must be able to perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Service vehicles with routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections. Repair and replace automotive parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized machinery. Work on diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics when required, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and suspension systems. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and auto body repair is a plus. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools. Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not required. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
