Duties Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs. Explain repair procedures clearly and provide detailed estimates using estimating software. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission repairs to maximize customer value. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs based on urgency and availability while maintaining effective communication throughout the process. Write service orders and ensure all work is documented thoroughly for accurate billing and record keeping. Manage customer inquiries professionally via phone or in person, providing updates on vehicle status and estimated completion times. Utilize automotive diagnostics tools and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems to assess repairs accurately. Handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining excellent client communication to foster trust and loyalty. Promote dealership services by educating clients on maintenance schedules, warranty options, and new offerings. Collaborate with the sales team when appropriate to facilitate vehicle sales or trade-ins based on client needs. Requirements Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or in a similar auto service management role; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, oil changes, brake repair, wheel alignments, suspension work, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, transmissions, and automotive repair procedures. Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of varying knowledge levels. Sales aptitude with experience in upselling services and automobile sales; ability to identify customer needs proactively. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles if required. Mechanical experience or background as a service technician is advantageous for understanding technical aspects of repairs. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation and cash handling. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
