AMERICAN SYSTEMS
supporting NASA at the Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC), you will: Collaborate with NASA personnel , AFRC partners , aircraft technicians , and multidisciplinary engineering teams on real-world aerospace projects . Perform a variety of assigned tasks under the direct guidance of experienced professionals in areas such as engineering , software development , database management , and security analysis . Support Flight Instrumentation and System Integration Engineers with the design, integration, and testing of hardware, software, avionics , power, and instrumentation systems that enable safe and successful flight operations . Assist with technical problem-solving efforts to address complex engineering challenges and support the development of next-generation flight technologies. Gain hands-on experience applying classroom knowledge to mission-driven projects in a dynamic research and flight test environment. Contribute to technical activities, documentation, analysis, and system support efforts that help advance aerospace innovation. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen . Must have a high school diploma and be currently enrolled in college or have 3-4 years of college coursework completed, or equivalent related work experience. Must have a basic understanding of engineering principles and systems engineering processes . Must be able to apply standard methods and approaches while demonstrating initiative , problem-solving skills , and sound judgment . Ability to work a 9/80 WORK
SCHEDULE
(alternating Fridays off) with core hours between 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. What You'll Gain Hands-on experience supporting real NASA mission and research activities. is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $20.00/Hr. - USD $25/Hr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
