michdominguez@ aerotek.com Structures Technician Job Description As a Structure Technician, you will be responsible for drilling precision holes on flight hardware using the correct drill motors and sizes, assembling hardware with structural adhesives, and performing in-process inspections using hand tools. You will also be involved in blending or deburring operations and protecting hardware with sealants. Responsibilities Drill precision holes on flight hardware using appropriate tools and jigs. Select and utilize the correct drill motors and sizes for tasks. Assemble hardware using structural adhesives and properly torque fasteners. Install inserts and hiloks as necessary. Conduct in-process inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges. Perform blending or deburring operations with suitable hand or power tools. Protect hardware using alodine and sealants. Essential Skills Experience with structural components and aerospace industry standards. Proficiency in using pneumatic drills and torque wrenches. Ability to work with aluminum and structural bonding techniques. Understanding of helicoil and bond prepping processes. Familiarity with mechanisms and precision tolerance measurements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with 5S methodologies. Forklift operation certification. Experience as an aerospace technician. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
