Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM A large defense contractor is seeking experienced Avionics Installers to support military aircraft maintenance and modification programs on C-130 aircraft. This position focuses primarily on interior aircraft work involving avionics installation, wire routing, harnessing, and system maintenance. Job Responsibilities Assemble and install avionics components and systems according to engineering specifications Perform avionics maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure aircraft safety and performance Execute wire termination, wire crimping, wire routing, and wire ring-out activities Work with RF lines, coaxial cable, twisted pairs, and power wire systems Install and route aircraft harnesses following aviation wiring standards and best practices Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Collaborate with engineering teams on design modifications and improvements using AutoCAD Conduct routine inspections and functional checks of avionics systems Document maintenance and repair activities in compliance with regulatory and company standards Administer avionics testing and system verification procedures Qualifications Experience with avionics installation and/or aircraft electrical systems Experience working on military aircraft preferred, especially C-130 platforms Strong understanding of aircraft wire routing, harness installation, and termination practices Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams Familiarity with RF, coax, twisted pair, and power wire applications Experience using hand tools and avionics testing equipment AutoCAD experience is a plus Must provide own tools (shadowed and etched required) Must be flexible with shift requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance required Work Environment & Benefits Long-term 2+ year opportunity with a major defense contractor Primarily interior aircraft work with limited exterior tasks Paid and unpaid break structure exceeding standard requirements Stable Monday-Friday schedule If you have avionics installation experience and are looking for a long-term opportunity supporting military aircraft programs, apply today.
