ORA_ON_SITE Description SAIC offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to support NASA's Human Space Flight programs at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas under the Safety and Mission Assurance Engineering (SMAEC III) Contract. You will work in a collaborative environment comprised of NASA engineers, mission operations specialists, and commercial spaceflight experts. You will apply design and operations knowledge/expertise in the system integration area of S&MA.
Specific tasks may include:
Provide specialized SMA engineering expertise as needed for special tasks and projects across all support human spaceflight programs.
Qualifications Required Education:
Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
Required Skills:
25+ years related experience. Experience with spacecraft design, test and verification, maintenance, integration, and operations. Experience with emphasis on system integration to inform and influence design, test and verification activities, and planned flight operations. Experience with requirements documentation, interpretation, and development. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills. Technical excellence, integrity, and self-initiative. Ability to work effectively across multiple organizations / stakeholders and within a teaming environment to get results. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Power Point, Excel).
Desired Education:
BS degree in Engineering or related Science/Technical field (Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred). Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain and retain Public Trust security clearance.
