Job Description

Avionics/Electrical Technician Level IV Mustang Services, LLC Job description This position supports the F/A-18 aircraft modificationprogram. The role centers on systematic kit installation and structural maintenance. Must be able to deploy to international and off-site locations. This work potentially involves safety of flight items and demands absolute technical discipline with a "zero-defect" mentality.
System Integration & Kit Installation :
Execute technical modification kits on F/A-18E, F/A-18F, and EA-18G platforms, serving as the team's SME for running, installing, and integrating complex wiring harnesses and avionics components.
Electrical Troubleshooting :
Perform advanced troubleshooting of aircraft wiring, circuitry, and electronic components to ensure full system functionality post-installation.
System Expert :
Provide expert-level oversight for the installation and testing of aircraft instruments and systems, including automatic flight controls, navigation, and communications equipment.
Structural/Electrical Support :
Install changes, alterations, and modifications to aircraft electronics systems with zero-defect precision.
Technical Inspections :
Conduct
QAR/CDQAR
inspections of maintenance procedures affecting safety of flight.
Cross-Functional Support :
Provide "cross-pollination" by assisting other team members in various functional areas and providing cross-training to ensure a cohesive maintenance environment.
Regulatory Compliance:
Strictly adhere to the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and all associated technical directives, instructions, and safety regulations.
Technical Qualifications:
Ability to obtain/maintain certifications for wire connector certification, avionics corrosion control, and any additional qualifications necessary for the modification mission.
Support Equipment :
Ability to obtain/maintain qualifications for any Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) and specialized tooling.
Security Clearance :
An active Secret Clearance is required.
Global Deployment & Travel :
Must be willing and able to travel domestically and overseas with a valid passport.
High-Tempo Schedule :
Willingness to work 10-hour days during peak installation periods.
Travel & Deployment Details:
Primary Hubs :
Personnel are primarily based at NAS Lemoore, NAS Oceana, NAS Whidbey Island, or MCAS Iwakuni.
Off-Site Rotations :
Teams deploy to NAS Fallon, NAS Patuxent River, or NAS China Lake, etc. for specific installation cycles.
Deployment Duration :
Potential off-site rotations for extended periods on occasion.
Pay Range :
$92,000 - $95,000 per year
