Updated 08/2026 Job Description Job Summary We are seeking experienced Avionics Technicians for a premier corporate aviation maintenance operation in Bay City, WI. This position supports inspections, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and return-to-service activities on high-end business jets in a fast-paced Part 145 environment.

This client is specifically looking for strong troubleshooters—not just installers. Candidates should have solid avionics diagnostic experience, modification experience, and the ability to work independently on complex aircraft systems. Experience with inspections, certifications, and advanced avionics systems is highly valued.

This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned avionics professionals looking to grow within a high-standard corporate aviation maintenance team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, repair, removal, and replacement of aircraft avionics and instrument systems in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specificationsDiagnose and correct avionics discrepancies involving electrical systems, wiring, navigation systems, communication systems, and cockpit instrumentationComplete avionics modifications, upgrades, and installations while ensuring proper system functionality and compliancePerform 91.411 and 91.413 inspections and certifications as applicableTroubleshoot and support SATCOM systems and related communication equipmentWork with avionics systems including Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, and Gogo platformsRead and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentationComplete accurate work orders, maintenance records, and removal/installation documentation in compliance with FAR Part 43 requirementsSupport preflight evaluations and occasional in-flight troubleshooting with flight crews as neededMaintain avionics test equipment, tools, and work areas to company standardsAssist with training junior technicians and support overall team maintenance operations Requirements 5-7 years of avionics experience in a Part 145 environment requiredPart 135 experience preferredStrong troubleshooting experience required — install-only backgrounds will not be consideredModification experience strongly preferredExperience performing 91.411 and 91.413 inspections preferredSATCOM troubleshooting and support experience preferredExperience working with Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, and Gogo avionics systems preferred Experience on business jets required
Preferred Aircraft Experience:
Challenger 300, Global Express, Gulfstream GIV, Gulfstream G450, Cessna Citation X, Cessna Citation 560XLFCC License preferred but not requiredAbility to obtain FAA Repairman Certificate requiredA&P License is a plusMust have own tools necessary for the jobStrong knowledge of maintenance reference materials, wiring schematics, and technical manuals requiredExperience using CMP and CAMP maintenance tracking systems preferredStrong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills requiredValid driver's license with no major infractions requiredMust be able to pass pre-employment screenings and comply with airport/security requirements Miscellaneous About Our Client Our client is a highly respected leader in corporate aviation maintenance, specializing in premium business jet support, inspections, and return-to-service operations.
