Overview Join our dynamic team as a Bicycle Mechanic/Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional bicycle service experience! You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of bicycles and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure that every bike is safe, reliable, and ready to hit the road or trail. Duties Perform comprehensive bicycle repairs including brake adjustments, suspension servicing, gear tuning, and mechanical system repairs using hand tools and power tools. Conduct symptom-based mechanical diagnosis to identify issues quickly and accurately. Assemble bicycles from components, ensuring proper mechanical assembly and safety standards are met. Maintain detailed service records and update POS (Point of Sale) systems for retail sales transactions. Assist customers with bike maintenance advice, product recommendations, and sales to enhance their cycling experience. Support maintenance work on store equipment and ensure all tools and work areas are organized and safe. Handle heavy lifting of bicycles and parts during repairs or stock management while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a bicycle service technician or mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with suspension systems, brake repair, and symptom-based diagnosis techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly equipment. Experience with retail sales processes, POS systems, retail math, and customer service skills. Ability to perform maintenance work on bicycles as well as other mechanical systems related to cycling. Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices applicable to retail environments. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and execute detailed repair tasks efficiently.
