Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various equipment and systems within our self-storage facility. This position only requires 8-14 hours a week. This job requires mechanical and some technical knowledge, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities maintenance and possess a passion for quality assurance.Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Lock Checks
- This is a "BYOL" or "Bring Your Own Lock" facility. All units will need to be properly tagged or assessed to ensure they have the correct tenant lock or unit tags.
- Weekly Walkthroughs
- We'll need to conduct weekly walkthroughs, audits, and unit cleaning to ensure they meet company standards.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and technical issues with guidance from our Facility Quality Team.
- Uploading photographs
- These photos are normally vacant units, auction units, walk-throughs, or facility damages.
- Perform Facility Walk Through Inspections and notate any issues: Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly via our ticketing software.
- Hauling
- removing any trash or items left around the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment
- Basic technical knowledge is required
- Experience with facilities maintenance is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
