Maintenance Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of a wide range of equipment and systems across our facilities. Your expertise will support the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our infrastructure, contributing significantly to our operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment maintenance, along with leadership qualities to guide maintenance activities effectively. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical equipment to ensure continuous operation. Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC/R systems, air conditioning units, and related mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs on various machinery and equipment, adhering to safety standards and best practices. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts to upgrade or replace equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to restore critical systems efficiently. Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems as required by operational needs. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure safety protocols are followed. Skills Proven experience in appliance repair and service technician roles within commercial or industrial settings. Strong understanding of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration technology, air conditioning units, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and construction drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, installation, and maintenance procedures. Experience with electrical troubleshooting and basic wiring practices. Leadership skills to oversee maintenance tasks or guide junior team members effectively. Knowledge of safety standards related to construction sites, electrical work, HVAC/R systems, and general facility maintenance. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues before they escalate.
