We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a leader in the heavy materials and industrial sector, for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician at their Theodore, AL facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform various tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems throughout the plant, ensuring reliable and safe operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on mechanical systems and equipment throughout the facility.
- Service and lubricate equipment as required by standard operating procedures.
- Work collaboratively with, and provide oversight to, contractor personnel on site.
- Participate in formal and on-the-job training programs to broaden technical skills, including cross-training activities.
- Work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends as assigned.
- Demonstrate a strict commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies, actively promoting a culture of safety across all work areas.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Experience:
2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience required.Technical Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, repairing air compressors, bearings, and drives. Experience in equipment installation, lubrication, piping, rigging, welding/cutting, and fabrication is strictly required.Computer Skills:
Effective basic computer and systems skills.Licenses:
Valid Driver's License is preferred.Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of technical college education in a related subject.
- 4-5 years of industrial chemical or heavy manufacturing maintenance experience.
Physical Requirements & Safety:
- Strict adherence to all safety protocols is required.

Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, is mandatory. Employees required to wear tight-fitting respirators must pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
