Job Description
Hilton Garden Inn is seeking a dependable, hands-on Hotel Maintenance Technician to help keep our property safe, comfortable, and guest-ready. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work, can troubleshoot a variety of building issues, and understands that a fast, courteous response directly affects the guest experience. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior areas while working closely with the Front Desk, Housekeeping, and hotel leadership. What you'll do
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and hotel associates.
- Perform routine repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, locks, appliances, furniture, drywall, painting, doors, and fixtures.
- Complete scheduled preventive-maintenance tasks and document completed work orders.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, mechanical spaces, and exterior areas to identify maintenance or safety concerns before they affect guests.
- Maintain hotel equipment, tools, supplies, and maintenance storage areas in an organized and secure condition.
- Assist with pool, grounds, parking lot, exterior lighting, and seasonal upkeep as applicable. What we're looking for
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, carpentry, and general repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, prioritize work orders, and complete repairs with attention to detail.
- Guest-service mindset and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hotel departments.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to lift up to pounds, use ladders, stand/walk for extended periods, and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
