In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of garage doors and openers, ensuring safety, functionality, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in mechanical systems, electrical work, and construction will drive your success as you deliver top-quality service to clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment while making a tangible difference in homeowners' daily lives. Duties Install new garage doors, openers, and related hardware following blueprints, schematics, and building codes with precision and attention to detail Perform mechanical repairs on malfunctioning doors, springs, cables, rollers, and other components using hand tools and power tools Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation and safety of garage door systems Interpret technical drawings and schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively and implement solutions efficiently Use welding, fabrication, drywall installation, caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing skills for custom modifications or repairs when necessary Handle electrical work including wiring sensors, switches, motors, and integrating security or automation features Communicate clearly with customers about repairs needed, procedures performed, and safety precautions to ensure excellent customer service experience Experience Proven construction site experience with familiarity in door installation, door hanging, framing carpentry, and blueprint reading Mechanical knowledge of garage door systems including springs, cables, rollers, hinges, and tracks Hands-on experience with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers as well as power tools like drills and saws Background in electrical work related to motorized garage doors or similar systems is highly desirable Knowledge of building code compliance standards relevant to residential or commercial door installations Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately for precise installation or repair tasks Prior handyman experience or remodeling background that includes fixture installation or cabinetry is a plus Join us if you're passionate about delivering high-quality craftsmanship with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction!
