The Job You'll run a full day of service calls around the East Valley and do right by every customer. This is mostly service and repair work: figuring out what is wrong with a door, fixing it, tuning it up - never selling anybody something they don't need. Most homeowners have no idea how their garage door works, and the industry is built on taking advantage of that.

You'll show the customer what is actually going on, tell them what it really needs, and stand behind the work. Your scheduled jobs will be set by the office, with two-hour arrival timeframes to allow for flexibility in each job. Our friendly dispatchers are always there to answer the call if an interruption happens or you need assistance. What The Job Entails Running service calls in Mesa, Tempe, Gilbert, and the surrounding Phoenix metro: diagnosing, repairing, and tuning up doors. Replacing broken springs, cables, rollers, tracks, hinges, panels, openers, and safety sensors. Getting doors balanced, quiet, and running right. Telling customers the truth. Show them the actual problem before you fix anything, and only recommend what the door needs. Giving fair, straight quotes. No scare tactics, no fake urgency, no parts nobody needs. Handling the occasional new door or opener install when the schedule calls for it, though the day is mostly service. Following and completing your own job board; adding notes, invoicing, and payment in Housecall Pro out in the field, notifying the office when something needs to be addressed or followed up on. Keeping your truck, tools, and parts stocked and organized. Who We're Looking For Honest, first and foremost. You do not upsell unnecessary items, you do not make up problems, and you do not sell people parts they do not need. If an adjustment fixes the problem, and the door needs nothing else, you take care of the issue and feel great about saving the customer an expensive fix. At least a year of recent, hands-on garage door service experience. If it has been longer since you've been in the field, we will want to see 3 years or more.

You know the work:

springs, openers, cables, rollers, tracks, panels, sensors. You can look at a door or motor, appropriately diagnose the issue, and have the skills to fix it right the first time. You can show a customer what is actually wrong and explain cost vs. benefits in plain English so they can decide for themselves. You can run your own day. You know what needs doing next without somebody standing over you. You can pace yourself on your job board: keeping your customers informed of where you are, taking notes, invoicing, and taking payment in Housecall Pro or a similar software. Valid Arizona driver license and a clean driving record. You will be in a company truck. You can lift heavy door sections and springs, kneel, get up and down ladders, and work 8 to 10 hours each day in Arizona summer heat. You talk to people well. Customers trust you and feel respected when you are at their house. We will teach you our products, our pricing, and how we operate day-to-day. What we cannot teach is honesty and the instinct to do right by somebody. Pay:

100% piece rate. Typical earnings of $62,000 to $95,000 a year depending on skill and how much you produce. Saturday on-call pays an extra $100.
