Maintenance Technician San Gabriel Children's Center - 3.7 Azusa, CA Job Details Full-time $22 - $24 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Carpet cleaning Air conditioning Full Job Description About Us •San Gabriel Children's Center (SGCC) Inc., has an opening for a Maintenance Tech II in our Facilities department. SGCC is a Non-Profit Mental Health Organization which provides an array of mental health services to community, residential, and field based clients in Eastern San Gabriel Valley and surrounding areas.
Our mental health services include:
Community Mental Health Outpatient, Medication Support, Therapeutic Behavioral, Wraparound and STRTP Services. SGCC is an Equal Employment Opportunity agency.
Open Positions:
Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, on-call weekends
Responsibilities:
Conducts regular inspections of facilities, vehicles, and tools. Perform daily work order request which includes general maintenance plumbing, electrical, dry walling, painting, HVAC, locks, carpentry, furniture repair, playground equipment, etc. Trouble shoots maintenance problems. Insures all tools, chemicals and equipment is safely stored, labeled and locked at all times. Sorts, marks or carries paper good supplies and maintains inventory and contributes with the order list. Replenishes supplies such as drinking cups and paper products. Maintains a daily log of completed assignments as well as non-completed items. Will also include recommendations that attribute to the organizations safety and title 22 compliance regulations to maintain our organization at a standard compliance level. Performs all necessary yard work, such as tree trimming, and sprinkler system repair and inspection. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floor. Conducts routine fire prevention inspection and login. Inspection will consist in reviewing all fire evacuation locations such as windows and doors are clean and operable. Additionally, a monthly inspection will occur on all fire equipment such as fire extinguishers and smoke detectors. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies. Empties wastebaskets; transports trash and waste to disposal area corporate.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED. Maintain a valid driver's license and provide proof of insurance. Must have held a valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years. Prior knowledge of fire code preferred. 2+ years' experience with general maintenance. San Gabriel Children's Center reserves the right to close the application period, without notice, when a significant number of applications/resumes have been received or the position becomes filled. San Gabriel Children's Center has embarked upon implementing and embedding Trauma Informed Care (TIC) principles throughout the organization. Candidates should be aware that all employees are involved in the implementation and the practice of Trauma Informed Care within the organization.
