The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance, with basic knowledge in both electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety within our facilities. SG Real Estate in it's current evolution believes in building meaningful relationships based on transparency and care, so we expect our Maintenance Technician to provide excellent customer service, responding to maintenance needs promptly and with care. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to reduce the risk of unexpected breakdowns and avoid costly repairs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, providing efficient solutions to any issues that arise. Handle plumbing and electrical work , including repairs and troubleshooting of systems to ensure functionality and safety. Address emergency maintenance requests (e.g., water leaks, power outages, heating system failures) to prevent further damage and discomfort to tenants. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities , repairs, and system conditions using the AppFolio system . Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance facility operations. Ensure the property is in compliance with safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment . Communicate with tenants regarding upcoming maintenance work , repairs, or potential disruptions, ensuring they are well-informed and satisfied with the work completed Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. Strong electrical and plumbing knowledge Mechanical expertise with the ability to troubleshoot various systems. Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on communication and problem-solving. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred . Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for property site visits.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds. Frequent standing and walking required.

Pay:

$27.00 - $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.
