The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the hospitality industry and be capable of handling a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and visually appealing for guests and staff. This is a part-time position, but requires open availability to accommodate the property's operational needs, including varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel property Unclog toilets and drains as needed Replace and repair toilets, faucets, sensor lights, and other fixtures Apply caulking and complete minor plumbing repairs Assist with landscaping duties, including operating equipment such as weedwackers and other landscaping tools Repair damaged carpet and assist with installation of vinyl and laminate flooring when needed Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on AC units and HVAC systems Repair sheetrock/drywall and patch damaged walls Complete painting projects and blend paint finishes for a professional appearance Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and management Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety procedures Qualifications Minimum 2-5 years of maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in hospitality or commercial buildings Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Ability to troubleshoot and repair guest room and facility maintenance issues Understanding of preventative maintenance programs and safety procedures Basic knowledge of building codes, OSHA standards, and fire/life safety systems Strong customer service and communication skills when interacting with guests and staff Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations in a timely manner Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical labor as needed Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts Technical certifications or trade school preferred EPA certification or other trade certifications preferred for HVAC-related work Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently Preferred Skills Experience installing vinyl or laminate flooring HVAC certification or related experience is a plus Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices

From $21.00 per hour
