Job Description
HBM is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician with a background in construction or high-level handyperson type work. This person must have skills and experience with plumbing, light electrical, framing, and other trades work. We are looking for the following
Skills:
General Construction background Light Electrical, and understanding of commercial wiring codes is preferred.Plumbing:
knowledge of basic plumbing, sweating pipe and minor plumbing repair. drywall, painting, framing, decking, fencing, window hanging etc.HVAC repairs:
changing out fan motors, filters, and troubleshooting landscape experience and knowledge is a plus Basic computer skills are required. Ability to review and respond to tickets inCMMS Full Job Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform skilled maintenance of facilities in areas of landscaping, carpentry, plumbing, irrigation, light electrical, and equipment operation and maintenance. Some duties may include repairing flooring, appliances, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, safety and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.), and HVAC systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning. Fix general plumbing issues including toilet and sink clogs, leaks, etc... Wall repairs including light framing, painting, patching Conduct all job duties in accordance with company safety protocols. Work collaboratively with building administrators and staff to ensure a clean and safe environment for all students and staff. Monday - Friday Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities): Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or similar work. Ability to apply skilled techniques and use the tools of the following categories: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, small equipment repairs. Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English. General knowledge of permit requirements Valid Driver License and good driving record Preferred education and experience General construction High School Diploma or equivalent Experience leading maintenance projectsPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift, pull, push 50 pounds, bend, stoop, stand and/or walk for long periods of time, ability to climb ladders.Other Requirements:
Must pass federal and state background check (Livescan) Must submit to tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to start dateBenefits:
