Los Angeles and surrounding areas Position Overview American Rope Access is looking for a dependable and hardworking Ground Support Technician to assist our rope access crews on commercial exterior building-maintenance projects. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable using general power tools, working outdoors, moving equipment, and assisting skilled technicians. Rope access experience is not required. This position performs ground-level work and supports technicians working at height. Work is scheduled as projects become available, so weekly hours are not guaranteed. Responsibilities Set up, move, organize, and break down tools and equipment Assist rope access technicians from the ground Maintain controlled work zones and help keep pedestrians away from active work areas Handle ropes, hoses, extension cords, water-fed poles, and other equipment under crew supervision Perform ground-level caulking and wet-sealing work Assist with exterior painting and surface preparation Perform window cleaning, building washing, and pressure washing Load and unload company vehicles Pick up materials and supplies when needed Keep tools, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized Follow jobsite safety procedures and crew-leader instructions Assist with other exterior building-maintenance services as needed Qualifications Experience using general hand and power tools Construction, painting, caulking, window cleaning, or building-maintenance experience preferred Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions Comfortable working outdoors and around active work-at-height operations Able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds Able to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and perform physical work for extended periods Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Willing to travel to different jobsites throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas Available for project-based work, with occasional early mornings, nights, weekends, or out-of-town projects Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance when working at client properties Must be legally authorized to work in the United States About American Rope Access American Rope Access provides commercial exterior building-maintenance services, including window cleaning, waterproofing, leak detection and water testing, wet sealing, exterior painting, building washing, pressure washing, and visual building-envelope inspections. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, respects safety procedures, and wants to develop practical experience alongside a professional rope access team.
