Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Staff / Handyman to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. This energetic role involves performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks across building interiors, mechanical systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and facilities infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on skills with tools, and the ability to handle multiple maintenance responsibilities efficiently. Your contributions will help create a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment Perform repairs on electrical systems using schematics and technical diagrams; troubleshoot issues with electrical equipment using tools such as ohmmeters Carry out carpentry tasks including repairs to interior structures, doors, windows, and furniture; perform painting jobs for building interiors and maintenance painting projects Maintain plumbing systems through repairs, leak detection, pipe replacements, and system upgrades Operate hand tools and power tools safely to complete welding tasks or other mechanical repairs as needed Assist with facilities equipment maintenance including HVAC system repair, electrical work, plumbing system maintenance, and general building upkeep Supervise or lead small teams during maintenance projects; ensure safety protocols are followed and tasks are completed efficiently Skills Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repair techniques Proficiency with schematics, technical diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical equipment using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding techniques, and electrical equipment repair Familiarity with facilities maintenance operations including MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) procedures Strong leadership skills with experience supervising or guiding maintenance teams; excellent customer service orientation Ability to read technical schematics accurately; experience with building interior maintenance and residential painting is a plus Effective communication skills in English; capable of documenting work orders clearly and following safety guidelines diligently Join us in maintaining a high standard of safety and functionality across our facilities! Pay:
$25.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
