Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building interior systems, including HVAC units, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment. Conduct repairs on electrical equipment using schematics and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters. Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs on pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems to ensure proper functionality. Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry tasks such as repairs, installations, or painting projects to enhance building aesthetics. Maintain facilities equipment by performing preventive maintenance and responding promptly to operational issues. Weld metal components as needed for structural or repair purposes, ensuring safety standards are met. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects to improve the appearance of interior spaces. Read schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions. Support HVAC system repair efforts to optimize climate control within the facility. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repair or renovation projects when necessary. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in building interior maintenance and facilities upkeep. Proficiency in electrical work including electrical equipment repair and troubleshooting with tools like ohmmeters. Knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques for residential or commercial settings. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated systems is a plus. Skilled in welding, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks with attention to detail. Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical drawings accurately. Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices across various facility systems. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when needed. Leadership or supervising experience demonstrating the ability to oversee small teams or projects effectively. Competence in using hand tools, power tools, HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical equipment, and schematics.
