Full Job Description Pay:
$32.00-$44.00+ per hour (Based on Experience & Union Wage Scale) Join the Red Hawk Fence Team Red Hawk Fence is looking for an experienced Gate Automation & Access Control Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in commercial automated gates, access control systems, perimeter security, and commercial doors throughout Southern California. We are seeking a motivated technician who can install, troubleshoot, and service complete automated gate systems from the ground up.   • Install and service commercial automated gate systems.
  • Install and program access control systems.
  • Install and troubleshoot card readers, keypads, telephone entry systems, vehicle detection systems, and safety devices.
  • Configure gate operators, timers, relays, and control boards.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and communication issues.
  • Read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Install conduit, pull wire, and terminate low-voltage systems.
  • Install concrete operator pads, card reader pedestals, and equipment foundations.
  • Install Fire Department KNOX switches.
  • Saw cut and install inductive vehicle loops.
  • Test and commission complete gate systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls.
  • Maintain detailed service reports and installation documentation.
  • Ensure all work complies with
UL325, ASTM
F2200, NEC, and local building codes.
  • Basic knowledge of Word and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Job requires project estimating and bidding.
Required Experience Minimum 5 years of commercial gate automation experience.
