Petaluma, CA Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, plus after-hours emergency calls
Position:
Full-Time We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to handle the day-to-day maintenance needs of a well-established mobile home park in Petaluma. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently, and takes pride in keeping a property clean, safe, and well maintained. Responsibilities Perform general property maintenance and repairs throughout the mobile home park Respond to resident maintenance requests Perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, water lines, and minor leaks Perform basic electrical repairs such as switches, outlets, fixtures, and troubleshooting within the limits of the position Repair fences, gates, decks, stairs, railings, and other exterior components Perform basic carpentry and handyman work Maintain common areas, buildings, equipment, and park facilities Assist with landscaping, cleanup, and general property appearance as needed Inspect the property and identify maintenance or safety issues before they become larger problems Coordinate with management regarding repairs that require outside contractors Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies Document completed work and report significant problems to management Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls when required Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Has previous property maintenance, construction, handyman, or similar experience Has a good working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs Can troubleshoot problems and determine practical solutions Is dependable and able to work without constant supervision Communicates professionally with residents and management Is comfortable working around an occupied residential community Can perform physical work including lifting, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Has their own basic hand tools preferred Is willing and able to respond to occasional emergency calls outside normal business hours
Work Schedule Regular Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM The maintenance technician will also be responsible for responding to after-hours emergency calls when necessary. Emergency calls are intended for situations requiring immediate attention, such as significant water leaks, utility problems, safety hazards, or similar urgent maintenance issues. What We're Looking For More than anything, we are looking for someone who is dependable, practical, and takes ownership of the property they maintain . You don't need to know everything, but you should be able to look at a problem, figure out what needs to be done, handle the repairs within your abilities, and know when something needs to be referred to a licensed contractor. This is a long-term position for the right person.
Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
